How to get fast EXP and powerlevel every DoW or DoM! Reach the maximum level with the least BORING ASAP :)

hello and welcome to usGeneral leveling guide for ALL CLASSES. In general, this guide aims to educate on two main points. 1) Say it and remember itall ways, systems, tips and tricks to gain EXP– and which ones are good. two)As you level up, some level ranges (i.e. "levels") have some specific changes or gradesbe observed or – these instructions can be found on the following pages. Without further ado, LET'S LEVEL THE POWER QUICKLY!

Just to clarify, this guide only applies to ALL "BATTLE CLASSES".
We have separate leveling guides for DoH and DoL classes.

FFXIV Leveling Guide for ALL CLASSES – Navigation:
Q1: Methods and tips to level up each level.
P2: Level of a Reborn Realm: 1 to 50|P3: Heavensward Level: 50 to 60 (in revision)

so hereEUOn page 1 we only focus on information about all activities and EXP collection systems, this is relevant no matter where you are on your journey. That's itEASILY DRAWN BY "IMPORTANCE", but make no mistake, knowing all of them is useful.

Main Stage Mission

"As long as you have an MSQ, do it."

That says it all. Whenever you CAN do a Main Scenario quest, you MUST. Only if you do not meet the desired level requirements will this list be displayed.

EXP, Rewards, Progress and Unlocks...msq is king. The only time you should consider going through this list and finding other sources of XP is when you are not allowed to take the MSQ because you don't meet the MSQ level requirements.

Side quests along with MSQ?

Side Quests WHILE you're hammering away at your main scenario quest is invaluable.

Not all side quests are created equal, and not all side quests need to be done if you're looking for "speed" or "efficiency". I know a lot of people, myself included, who have completed all side quests after a few toons. Ultimately it's up to you, but adding "Value Side Quests" to your MSQ is awesome.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:High when close to MSQ. Don't be afraid to drop them if you move to another area or something. It might not be perfect, but don't be too stubborn either.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:EXTREME. The main scenario quests are undoubtedly the highest priority on your to-do list.

go to the top

Passive XP expansion

I'm serious: "Why not?"

This is more of a memory than anything else. Try to get as many EXP boost bonuses as possible; you could too, right? Every little bit counts. These usually only work UP TO A CERTAIN LEVEL and usually only work on EXP monsters (amazing for dungeons).

Here are some examples of common XP bonus perks:

Passive XP expansion

Armory Bonus: Gives you a huge EXP bonus (mostly on gangster kills) IF you have another class at a higher level than your current one. For this reason, you should focus on maxing out a combat class as often as possible.

+ experience equipment: they are tied to various pre-orders and the like. If you have them, great. An example is the Moogle hat or the Aetheryte earring.

foodie: +3% EXP for EVERY food buff (even boiled egg NPC). Stats can speed up your leveling experience, but this is negligible.

Heat of Battle FC-Buff: Your guild can activate this Free Company promotion that grants a percentage bonus to XP on kills.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:Extreme, as they are mostly passive bonuses that require little to no effort to maintain.

[/su_spoiler Title]

This really tops the list because getting huge blocks of EXP with next to no effort is... how should I say..."Let's take".

service functions

Your daily injection of EXP crack.

Wheels are daily "quests" that require you to complete a specific type of content and earn bonus rewards (especially EXP) for the first time each day. Various spinners go up and down in value depending on what level you're at, but they're usually one of your main sources of EXP.

I'll go into more detail about each spinner type in the notes for each level, as there are spinners that you should avoid or prioritize depending on where you are in the level.

But basically if you level ALTS.Roulette has MAXIMUM PRIORITY ON EXP GAINING. Not all of them, but probably several of them always will be.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:Extreme, but also extremely volatile. Each type of roulette wheel has its ups and downs, and be warned: some dungeons or trials are terrible.

go to the top

exp rested

Imagine getting paid more for something you're already doing.
Like the Michael Jackson documentary"That is all“.

This is very important as it can greatly change your next best activity in the future. Rested EXP is present in many MMORPGs and FFXIV is no exception.

Rested EXP increases Kill EXP. As simple as that.Of course, this pairs EXTREMELY well with dungeons.

I don't need to go into detail about the Rest EXP mechanic here, but I do need to remind you that the best way to WIN is to leave a Shrine, indicated by the crescent icon next to your EXP bar.

TLDR-Wertbewertung: Extreme when combined with activities that consume you quickly. It's straight passive EXP. Be wise in how you use it.

When does your Rest EXP run out? It's the opposite feeling...
Like the Michael Jackson documentary"never let“.

go to the top

challenge record

Another source of "free EXP" with little effort.
Unfortunately, I ran out of documentary puns.

If you want to randomly gain EXP out of thin air for things you already do, then challenge registration is for you! In most cases, you don't need to specifically track them, so this is another technically passive source of EXP.

All entries are not equal. While all rewards are usually a percentage of your current level, there are rewards that stop increasing after certain levels. It's not that simple or clear, but I'll do my best to give you the best step-by-step advice.

Going after the darkest (IE, 10x Guildhest) isn't always the best idea, so I wouldn't worry about being a complete one in that regard. Also,Beware of accidental terminationslike Clear Dungeons 5 times or Duty Roulette Dungeons 3 times. It's a bug I found by mistake in a max level class.

TLDR-Wertbewertung: Extreme, but don't get too excited... not all entries are worth following. Get the ones you barely need to work on or don't even realize you're done with.

go to the top

dungeon

Essentially the basis for gaining EXP. you will often hear
"Is it better or worse than dungeons?"

Playing dungeons, ideally as part of a roulette wheel, is obviously a value, right? But what about "raw" like just queuing directly into a dungeon? It's still an intense value.

Ideally, you should complete the dungeons closest to your level. This will give you HUGE EXP and even some items that will inevitably make your character stronger to level up.

While the "raw" dungeon is valuable, you'll often rest by shooting up EXP at nearly untouchable Valuetown stats. It's also something you'll inevitably come across at roulette. It's great all around.

TLDR-Wertbewertung: Divine. Dungeons + Rested EXP (and hopefully the chain bonus) is hard to beat. Even without Rest and Chain, they are an attractive source of EXP that is "fun" and allows you to improve your personal class mastery.

there are some tooDungeon Related Subsystems

Squadron - commando mission

Allows you to enter certain dungeons with selected members of your squad.

This allows youskip timeout, and possiblyImprove your AoE cleaning speeddepending on the DPS class(es) you bring. Double Caster/Black Mage seems like a good idea for the most part.

Unfortunately, I am aware that few players bother to advance their team as it can be very tedious, so this option is not available to everyone. I suggest building them up slowly over time so that one day you can use commando missions if you want.

I will go into more detail about this subsystem at the appropriate levels.

trust system

Allows you to enter certain dungeons without other players, instead of entering with established NPCs. Introduced in the Shadowbringers level, this is a great opportunity if you need to get into dungeons andskip timeout.

(Video) Leveling Guide 1-80 | By Someone Who MAXED ALL in ~1 Month

Honestly, it's not even slow. They are better than noobs. It is alsoa great way to familiarize yourself with a dungeonif you're the type who's scared of a new dungeon and don't want bad players to criticize you. There's nothing wrong with trying a dungeon first.

I will go into more detail about this subsystem at the appropriate levels.

go to the top

deep dungeons

"It's always changing"

Examples include "Palace of the Dead" by ARR and "Heaven on High" by Stormblood. These deep dungeons are really making you hot or cold with the FFXIV community.

These are short encounters that do NOT use your current gear levels (this is one reason why some people do them), but use your own intrinsic gear level system (which is another reason why some people DON'T). Starting from scratch sure sucks.

Mahiko Sans PERSONAL NOTE and OPINION

The quote above is from my friend Raika Tsunami. This is right! My opinion of Deep Dungeons is also "always changing".

Always changing from BAD to WORSE. Every time I think, "Hey, maybe it's not that bad," and every time I end up saying, "It's worse than I remembered!" There are types of players that can tolerate this. But Halone, help me... I'm not one of them.

And even though it's a meme. My friendship level with him will always change as long as he "fosters" deep dungeons.

I know I'm not the fairest defender of them, but I recognize that they have a place, and when it comes to earning EXP, Deep Dungeons is certainly in the top half of the options.

TLDR-Wertbewertung: Cool, but personally it somehow manages to be super annoying yet super complicated... IDK, maybe I'm biased... While I recognize the good EXP gains, if it "settles" it's a really bad experience.

go to the top

destinations

"Fate takes who it wants and drags who resists"
— a recent IRL quote about fate. hahahaha

Oh good old FATE. What can I say? Love them or hate them, I still think FATEs are a very useful source of EXP. You have your place!

FATEs are great EXP, but aresuffers from being super inconsistent in terms of too many small variables. Do the targets get too clunky? Are you very lonely? Many people? Not reaching the maximum destination rewards and not getting them? Is the map you're on not the best one for you right now? Can't you fly? There are many factors at play here...

What is Destiny for?You can do them while waiting in line. You can do this while looking at other things. It is a low-commitment activity that can be done in parallel. Hell, even making FATE ACTIVE isn't a bad thing if you have a lot of variables working in your favor.

FATE gets a bad rap from many older players for having too many subsystems tied back in those days, and it's also clearly the BEST source of EXP. Times have changed, but I remain committed to all our painful memories.Do you remember Atma? Yes, neither do I.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:Great, but very variable...

go to the top

Proper rotation, skill usage, etc.

Unfortunately, the git-gud reminder must be mentioned.

Doing your job well and then gaining the wisdom of when and how to match your playstyle and rotation with the content you're creating is pretty much the foundation of "wins". While this may seem like a basic fact to many, it needs to be mentioned here. Let's look at two examples.

Imagine fumbling with your AoE rotation in dungeons. There's definitely a loss of speed there, isn't there? With the same equipment, a group with better class knowledge will be faster than one without it.Simply.

Let's say you don't adjust your rotation to target random mobs from the outside world. Is his DoT unnecessary since he doesn't need enough DoT to kill him instead of just direct hits? You can waste a little time with each mob.Adjust accordingly!

TLDR-Wertbewertung: important in several ways. It is also important to accumulate EXP as a player and human.

go to the top

side quests

Huge EXP when literally on the side.
But how to focus? Hmm

I talked about this in the MSQ thread. And this is a WILD VARIABLE. Basically, the value of side quests is strongly tied to your main scenario quest. If you can complete them using MSQ, great! Drop them if you stray too far.

(Video) FFXIV Leveling Guide 1 to 80 | Level Main and Alt Jobs Fast

But of course you can do side quests OUTSIDE your MSQ. And, frankly, the wild variation doesn't disappear in this case either. They can be good or bad. I find marking FATE along the way helps.

I know some people who love to end them at some point. I've done this over many character leveling cycles.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:Mixed. Use your intuition, but my advice is to focus primarily on MSQ-related side quests. If you want to do them outside MSQ, stay within a +/-2 level range.

go to the top

chocobo fight

A slightly faster soil for a microscopic cost?
You'd have to be a bird brain to refuse.

Combat Chocobos will help you heal and DPS (let's not talk about the tank part) while you're not in an instance. This is great for FATE, Beast Tribes, and even MSQ!

Not everyone has a super powerful chocobo. You have to start somewhere, don't you? And frankly, even a tier 1 combat chocobo is better than nothing. Costs are also minimal.

Can't you tell me that a few Gyashl Greens and the occasional Thavnairian onion will keep you from getting the most out of your feathered friend?

TLDR-Wertbewertung: It's a passive ground speed boost and it helps a lot in healing, especially in FATE.

go to the top

Beast Tribe quests (repeatable)

"Rewarding" but not typically "Beast" in terms of EXP.

Mostly good for "doing something NEXT to something else" or "closing"IE always mounts and pets. While they can be a decent source of EXP, they are limited and designed to be a bit trickier to complete compared to other sources of EXP. In addition, you are bound by the map you are on and the level ranges of the missions you can do.

It also varies a lot from tribe to tribe and from level to level! The sheer difference between happiness (or unhappiness) and, say, sylphAAnantaIt's impressive!

TLDR-Wertbewertung: Not so good for EXP, a bit random, but great for killing two birds with one stone. Or two sylphs with a keyboard.

go to the top

Bill is me

Prepare your cards.

At each level (honestly, although this is possible at the ARR level, I think this system is quite active from the Heavensward level onwards) you can get hunting licenses from different cities, for which you have to kill the enemies listed on those hunting licenses . , to get bonus EXP. This is something like the quest log, but repeatable for base characters every day.

This is normal for me. You earn certain coins that help you buy certain things... but the EXP is complementary at best. If you can knock them out while walking, why not?

Trying to complete these logs daily for EXP purposes is just an anti-boredom mechanic or something to queue up in my opinion.

Levels (Battlecraft, Great Company, Tempel)

Best saved for DoH or DOL but can be filler

Battlecraft or GC level quests are, uhh,"viable"EXP font, but it comes with some limitations. The TYPE level and even more the micro level SPECIFIC LEVELS can be terrible or divine and change between each level.

Example... There are someamazing GC levels that require killing an "elite" enemy boss...these are amazing! There isterrible "wink levels" with NPCs that are "SLOW AF" for lack of better words– These are terrible! Do you understand what I mean?

Combat levels simply STOP EXISTING after a point

Battlecraft levels end at L58 (level 58 missions have no EXP penalties until you reach level 60). Likewise, GC levels end at L45 (level 40 quests have no EXP penalties until reaching level 50). While you can technically do this after your EXP penalty has applied, I hope I don't have to tell you that you MUST NOT.

After Ishgard (in Stormblood and Kugane Tier) Battlecraft tier quests just disappear. GC levels disappear upon reaching Ishgard (Heaven level).

Temple Hills?they are simple"fat" levels found ONLY in the Heavensward levelthat require 10 level bonuses for a higher reward. But not the 10x reward. They are simply a way to download higher level quests. Not bad if you have a level cap.

Very simpleConsider using Light if your level assignments are limitedor you don't need them for DOH or DOL. Otherwise I would be wary of using them.

TLDR-Wertbewertung:Very variable. It can be "very good" or "just bad". Consider better uses like leveling DoH or DoL.

hunting protocol

An interesting and cute subsystem that is sadly gone...

Personally, I do this before I "graduate" to the next level. So make sure you complete it every 10 levels. It is worth it? If you're online, why not. Do FATE on the way. Also, I tend to do this when I'm a little low and need to level up to unlock a new dungeon or something.

But that's only up to L50, just for the base classes and jobs that evolve from them. There is something to consider.

I know this unlocks certain things like GC ranks or something. IDK, it's been a while. It is recommended to complete it with at least one character...

TLDR Value Rating: Meh.Ideal for curious new players.

go to the top

alliance master

Better than nothing. Close of.

You unlock a new guild emote at level 1, 5 and every 5 levels thereafter. These give you bonus exp, note: "Your first title for every new class you take..

For example, if you do Under the Armor with Pugilist, you'll get a big EXP boost, then if you do Under the Armor with Gladiator again, you'll get a big EXP boost again.

However, after this point, Guildhest's usefulness and efficiency plummet. They are only used after that to remove the challenge log entries (these entries are very good).

TLDR Value Rating: Grossartigforevery first grade per class, and after that almost completely useless. (This uselessness also extends to guild booklet entries in the challenge log and service wheels)

go to the top

basic grinding

Is bad.

The absolute worst way to gain EXP. "Never grind for grind", kill mobs from the outside world. Killing random monsters with no greater purpose should never be considered a viable source of EXP.

I put it on the list for a reason: to say how bad it is. It is so bad. It is not good. Don't. Avoid this at all costs.

Really, I'm not kidding. it sucks. As much as I want to express this in a broader vocabulary, I don't care.Sucks.

As important as Tychus Findley's advice on gathering EXP is,
"Damn, it's about time"
My own appointment must be taken with the same measure...
