FFXIV Leveling Guide: How To Level Up Your Alternate Jobs Fast (2023) (2023)

The main stage ofFinal Fantasy XIV: Endwalkeris after you and you want to know what to do next. Or maybe you're looking for a new job that's moving forward and you need to keep track of your current progress. We are here to help.

Your main job will reach the current level cap of 90 simply by completing the expansion's main story scenario. You still have to do this, as various endgame systems like the latest Extreme Trials and Expert Duty Roulettes are locked until you complete the story. This will likely also be the case when the new raid launches on December 24, 2021, and its Savage tier version on January 4, 2022.

But what about his other jobs? Some start grinding gears at the highest level, while others start leveling up their side jobs. This guide is intended to help you with various areas of leveling, as the best ways to level up will change as you progress. We'll start at the top, not the bottom, as many are trying to level up their new Sage or Reaper jobs.

General details

Before we get into specific tier ranges, let's cover some general information. These are general ways to increase your experience gain spanning all level ranges. To start with, you should probably have a stack of basic groceries. AllEssenGives you a 3% bonus to experience gained from killing enemies. It's not a ton, but it will stack up over time and reduce the overall difficulty of leveling up quite a bit.

Second, there are a number ofItems that provide experience bonuseswithin certain levels. Unfortunately, most of these items are pre-order bonuses for various expansions, while one is an item you receive when you invite a new subscriber.FFX IV. The list of elements:

• Moogle Cap (from pre-ordera kingdom reborn): 20% bonus up to level 11
• Elmo of Light (froma kingdom rebornCollector's Edition: 20% bonus twice at level 11
• Friendship Link (from 30 days with friend subscription): 20% bonus up to level 26
• New Ring (after completing Beginner's Hall): 30% bonus up to level 31
• Ala Mhigan earrings (pre-orderstormy blood): 30% bonus up to level 51
• Aetheryte Earring (from pre-orderSchattenbringer): 30% bonus up to 71
• Menphina Earring (pre-orderWalker): 30% bonus up to level 81

A simple rule of thumb for this is to simply equip any new gadgets you have until they are no longer useful. For example, Menphina's earring.WalkerNot only does it last longer than the rest, but it also has better bonus stats compared to its counterparts.

finally there isArsenal bonus. This feature grants players a 100% experience bonus for any job that is lower than their max level job. So if your main job is Samurai at level 80, any job below 80 will benefit from the Arsenal bonus. This bonus applies to main story quests, dungeon bosses and completion, FATE, levels, and deep dungeons. Please note that the Armory bonus for the current expansion is only an additional 50%. ForWalker, that is, from level 80-90. You can expect the same for later expansions.

There are also three Free Company buff actions, but most players won't have access to change them, so I'll leave them out of this guide.

Level 80-90

This is the most recent leveling track added with the release ofWalker. If you are taking your first job in this field, the main story quest will be enough to help you. In addition, you must perform at least some daily activities.Your essential daily roulette wheelsit should be your first port of call. The roulette queues called Leveling, Main Scenario, and Alliance Raid are all worth it, though you can tackle them all (including Trials, 50/60/70/80, and Normal Raids) if you have the time and inclination. And if you're a tank or a healer, cooldown times should be relatively short. If you're ready to get involved in PvP, Frontline Roulette is also worth playing.

An additional quest for experience is tribal quests. In this area you complete daily quests for Arkasadora. To unlock this set of daily quests, you need to perform the quest"Hippos were born to ride"outsideconnectionsemThavnair (X: 25.3, Y: 31.2). Once unlocked, be sure to pick up these journals for a good dose of quick experience.

you could also takethe new hunting guild. This is the latest version of the Clan Hunt system in existence.FFX IVfromto heaven. You will be given a group of targets to hunt down and kill. Once you've done that, you'll get rewards that can be exchanged for sweet items and some experience. Combined withdestinations, hunts give you something to do while you wait for the roulette queue to appear while still earning a healthy dose of experience. The above link shows how to unlock the feature. (You should already have the rewards unlocked. See below: Level 50-60.)

FATEs are slower than Duty Roulettes, but you get decent experience, and more importantly, you can use the two-tone gems you get to buy materials to sell on the market. I will also point out that Square Enix will eventually release a new version of Deep Dungeon. Once it's ready, it will likely be used directly as a starting point for leveling up.

Another method of leveling that you can incorporate into your rotation would be to use the Trust system to run the level correctly.WalkerDungeons and collect EXP from battles alone. Running the same instance over and over again may not be the most exciting, but you don't have to wait in lines, which is especially great for DPS players or those who have exhausted their daily roulette wheels.

Facing south of Bozjan

The option that surprisingly still works fine is thisBozjan southern frontmiZadnor. Introduced as an instance and autonomous zone in patch 5.35, this area allows you to engage in an ongoing conflict with its own story. In Bozja, job levels sync to level 80 and item levels to level 430, so you don't have to worry about gear.

While in Bozja, you can face Skirmishes, which are essentially FATE, and Critical Engagements, which are like Trials. Matchups are instanced encounters that appear randomly, like boss fights with either 24 or 48 players logging in to fight them. You must sign up for Critical Engagements and there is a priority system if the queue exceeds capacity. Priority is gained by completing skirmishes or by paying for Bozjan Clusters dropped by mobs on the battlefield. Basically run skirmishes until critical engagements show up, then run them. Rinse and repeat.

Bozja's overall composition basically encourages a freeform FATE move in a way that most other zones in the game don't. In addition to all the experience you earn, you will also work on your job's stamina weapon and earn a lot of gil. This was one of the most efficient ways to level up from 71 to 80Schattenbringer, And that has not changedWalker. You can reach a level in less than an hour.

You will unlock the South Front of Bozjan by picking up Hail to the Queen fromskills(X: 12.2 Y: 12.3 - Kugans). You must be level 80 to access this quest. In addition, you must have completed theSchattenbringerMain scenario quest "Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty" and the entire Alliance Raid quest line "Return to Ivalice". After unlocking the region, you must be level 71 with any job to enter.

Zadnoris a later instance in the Bozja quest line. You'll earn a lot more with Mettle, Bozja's zone-based standalone leveling system. If your focus is getting that stamina weapon at the top of the tier, Zadnor might be a better choice. Personally, I would prefer Bozja, but some have reported that FATE spawns are better in Zadnor.

Level 70-80

There will be some repetition here, as the way you progress from 70 to 80 is remarkably similar to 80 to 90. Hit it.mandatory daily roulettes: Prioritize leveling, main stage, and alliance attacks, but you can deal with all of them if you have time. Take the... Upcrazy clan huntsin the Crystarium to fill time while you wait for Duty Roulette to appear. You can unlock them by accepting the quest Nuts to You from Hume Lout (X:12.1, Y:15.0 - The Crystarium). (You should already have the rewards unlocked. See below: Level 50-60.)

The last part of the additional investigative experience is theBestienstamm-Missions. In this area you complete daily quests for theElement. To unlock this set of daily quests, you need to choose Pink Pixie's Manic Pixie Dream Realm quest (X: 13.1, Y: 15.3 - The Crystarium). Once unlocked, be sure to pick up these journals for a good dose of quick experience.

Otherwise, your best bet from level 71-80 is thesouth front of god. Take a look at the same 80-90 range section above to see how the region behaves when leveling. Outside of your daily tasks, you will live here. And if you want, you can use the Trust system at level 71 for combat EXP, which will definitely help with the long DPS queues, but again it can get repetitive - make sure you mix things up.

Jobs starting at this level range: Sage, Harvester

Level 60-70

At this level range, you should probably queue up for at least the leveling wheel, but the Dungeons, Main Scenario, Tria, and Alliance Raid options are worth it, depending on wait times. If you're a tank or a healer, you can queue up for that too.highest dungeon availablefor you.

Deep Dungeon: Heaven Above

From level 61 you can unlockheaven above. This is the second iteration of the Deep Dungeon system, featuring instanced dungeons on multiple levels. As with the first (Palace of the Dead, mentioned below), all players are in sync in terms of level and item level for a separate leveling system that only exists in Deep Dungeon.

To unlock Heaven-on-High, you must first have completed the 50th floor of the Palace of the Dead. You must also have completed the Stormblood main scenario quest "Tide Goes in, Imperials Goes Out". Once this is done, you need to take the "Knocking on Heaven's Door" quest from Hamakaze (X: 6.2, Y: 11.7 - The Ruby Sea). This will unlock the dungeon.

By playing Heaven-on-High, you will earn Job EXP while progressing Empyrean Aetherpool's special weapons. Many players tend to just repeat floors 21-30 as they offer the best risk/reward ratio with solid experience.

You can purely level at Heaven-on-High, but to be honest, it's a daunting process. That is why I say that players should incorporate roulette and hunts into their routine. (stormy bloodThe Hunt iteration is theVeteran Clan Hunt, unlocked by getting the Estrild One-Star Veteran Clan Hunt quest at X: 10.3, Y: 10.2 in Kugane.) This allows you tobreak monotonyif you do a lot of leveling work often. There's no reason to level up all those jobs if you're just going to burn out.

Jobs starting at this level range: Gun Breaker, Dancer

level 50-60

This is an odd level section that shares a lot of options with the before and after sections. Basically, you want to go about your daily business.service functions(being the leveling wheel the most effective), togetherchallenge records. This system is unlocked at level 15 and gives you experience for completing challenges like clearing 5 dungeons or defeating 20 enemies with your chocobo. Most of the time, you will complete them just by playing the game. They also reset every Tuesday.

beyond and beyond,Complete the highest level dungeon.The key is always available to you or works alternativelyFloors 51-60dopalace of the dead. (Learn how to unlock this below.)

Here you get a new leveling supplement and you're done.the clan hunt. Bounties give you a specific target to kill, and doing so earns you Centurion Seals, Gil, and experience. You can unlock these by being a second lieutenant in your Great Company and by accepting the Let the Hunt Begin quest from an NPC in your GC.

• Mahlstrom – Trachraet (X: 12,7 Y: 12,8 – Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks)
• Twin Otter – Scarlet (X: 9.9 Y: 11.4 – New Gridania)
• Immortal Flames - Mimio Mio (X:8.6 Y:9.4 - Ul'dah Stages of Nald)

Once this quest is complete, you can pick up the level 53 quest Let the Clan of Aytienne Hunt Begin (X: 12.9 Y: 11.8 - Foundation). Clan Hunts are collected in Ishgard and are a decent way to complete the leveling process. Hunts in general are also useful in later levels, so make sure you unlock them now. Note that some hunts have higher levels, so avoid hunting in places like Azys Lla or The Dravanian Hinterlands until you are around level 58-59.

Jobs starting at this level range: Samurai, Red Mage

Levels 16-50

At this point, you will unlock your first dungeons. Sastasha unlocks at level 15, Tam-Tara Deepcroft at level 16, and Copperbell Mines at level 17. You need to do the newly unlocked.Mandatory Roulette: Level Upevery day for this extra experience.challenge recordsthey are also a decent way to gain experience. (Watch up). After that you have to queue for anyupper level dungeonAvailable for you.

Deep Dungeon: Palace of the Dead

The first iteration of the Deep Dungeon system ispalace of the dead. This is unlocked through the level 17 quest The House That Nojito Marujiro's Death Built (X: 12.0, Y: 13.1 - New Gridania).

Managing the Palace of the Dead has two benefits. First, your level and gear will sync to a default range and switch to a palace-specific leveling system, meaning you don't have to worry about changing gear as you level up. Second, there are no party composition requirements like there are in regular dungeons. You can manage a full team of four DPS, which greatly reduces wait times.

Palace of the Dead runs in 10-story stages, with each stage increasing in difficulty. Once you pass the 50th floor, you can start on the 51st floor every time. You still need to clear the 50th floor to unlock Heaven-on-High later on (see above), but run and run againFloors 51-60it's the fastest way to level up here. They offer more experience and a large part of the player base at this tier also operates on these floors.

Alternative: command missions

Now, dungeon runs can be tedious, but you only have to run them a few times to speed up those levels. If you're not a tank or healer, your cooldown times may be longer. An alternative is herecommando missions. These are essentially low level backgrounds that allow players to run dungeons alongside NPCs.

There is a lot to do to unlock them. First, you must be a member of one of the three Great Companies: Maelstrom, Order of the Twin Viper, or Immortal Flames. Then you must be at least the rank of Second Lieutenant in your Great Company and at least level 47. (You will unlock this in your main job.) Obtain the Squad and Commander quest from your local personnel officer. Then you have to recruit some squad members and use them in quests to level up in the dungeons. Your entire squad must meet the level requirements of the dungeons you wish to run.

Once they reach the correct level, you can talk to the squad sergeant to unlock the commando missions. This option will now appear when talking to the Squad Sergeant. Select the members you want to take with you and select Deploy.

It's not worth your squad being less than ideal in commando missions as it is confident in combat. They won't AoE as often as normal players and can be overpowered. You need to use the Orders hotbar to tell them to hook, break away, and limit breakout. Use these. Also note that when a squad member is tanking, you have to wait a bit for them to gain enmity before attacking.

Again, commando missions are just a way to avoid waiting in lines. If you're trying to queue up for dungeons with other players and queue times are low, consider using this method. It is usually faster.

Jobs starting at this level: Astrologer, Machinist, Dark Knight

Levels 1-16

This is the beginning ofFFX IV. For all of the above professions (paladin, warrior, white mage, scholar, monk, dragon, ninja, bard, black mage, and summoner), you need to start here as a previous class. So if you want to become a paladin, you have to start as a gladiator at level 1. Bards have to start as archers, ninjas as rogues. Etc.

A kingdom reborn Klassen

You will get through these levels relatively quickly and easily. You will want to get your new gang out of your hometown and then out of the city gates. you are going to doyour class missionsand the classhunting protocol. Each class has a hunting log full of enemies near the starting city. This will be great for EXP.

They will also complete this leveling step.destinations. As you complete your class quests and hunting log, you'll find any misplaced FATE that comes your way. I would avoid any of the more powerful boss FATEs with a single strong target unless there are other players who can help.

At this level range, you may also want to bring along your chocobo companion. You may have forgotten about your friendly comrade-in-arms, but he is always by your side. The Chocobo can attack, tank, and even heal, making it a boon for the solo player. Get somethingGysahl Greenfrom the nearest merchant to summon this companion.

I hope this gives you a solid foundation to work from in terms of leveling. While efficiency is important, I always stress that you should create content that you enjoy. The fun will keep you playing FFXIV much longer than just pushing each job to the max.
