We have all read the story of the woman of Proverbs 31, a woman of virtue. A woman who is morally upright and of noble character, possessing many good qualities.
Many of us possess some, if not all, of the virtues and graces mentioned here. What is important is that we fulfill God's purpose for us as individuals and that we use whatever gifts He has given us for His glory and the blessing of others.
There are so many qualities this Proverbs 31 woman possesses, but her number one priority was that she feared the Lord. Because of this powerful truth, everything he did throughout the day flowed out of his love, devotion, and honor for the Lord.
Whoever trusts her is safe. It requires tracking. She responds to the wounds of others. One of the coolest things about this virtuous woman is that she is powerful, graceful, anointed by God, and determined.
A godly wife will love and treat her husband exactly as God teaches in the Bible. A godly woman will also reject ideas about women that contradict God's Word.
A woman who fears the Lord will not be shaken by marital problems because she is trusting in the Lord, not her husband. Since God created woman for man, a man would be a fool to neglect this simple but perfect criterion.
A woman's fear of God can be tested or improved by testing it with the Bible. A woman who fears the Lord puts Him first in all areas of her life, both internal and external.
The Hebrew word in the phrase "fear the Lord" meansreverent. the word backVerencia's honor and respect is deeply felt and outwardly demonstrated. Because of the incredible power and majesty of the Lord God, He deserves the highest reverence (Leviticus 19:30). The Bible describes awe as the automatic response of all who encounter the incredible greatness of the Almighty Lord God.
You shall keep my sabbaths and worship my sanctuary: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:30) KJV
